Terms of Use

These terms cover penink.app and the Penink app for iPhone and iPad. By using Penink, you agree to them. Questions: support@penink.app.

1. The product

Penink is a digital notebook and personal workspace. You can write, organise folders and files, annotate PDFs, record audio, and use optional study tools.

The website is for information, download, and support.

2. Your account

You may use Penink without an account. Content then stays on the device and is not synced.

If you create an account (Sign in with Apple or Google), you are responsible for that sign-in method. You must not use Penink to impersonate someone else or to access another person’s account.

You can delete your Penink account in the app under Account → Delete Account, as described in the Privacy Policy.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the notes, PDFs, recordings, and files you create or import.

You grant us a limited licence to host, sync, back up, and display that content so the app can function when you are signed in.

You are responsible for the content you put in Penink and for keeping exports of work you cannot replace.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use Penink to break the law, infringe others’ rights, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with the service, or upload malware.

We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service.

5. Study tools

Summaries, explanations, flashcards, and similar features are generated on your device from your existing notes. Output can be wrong. You are responsible for checking study material and any document you rely on.

6. No paid plan in this version

This version of the iOS app does not sell subscriptions or Penink Pro inside the app. If we add paid features later, they will be billed through the Apple App Store, and Apple’s refund and billing rules will apply. We will update these terms at that time.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how you can delete your account. It forms part of these terms.

8. Disclaimer

Penink is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted service, that notes cannot be lost, or that study-tool output is accurate. Keep your own exports of important work.

To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of notes, arising from your use of Penink. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be excluded under consumer law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
